چکیده
Objective: To determine the effectivness of muscle energy technique versus strain counter techniques on trigger points quadratus lumborum among patients with low back pain. Methodology: A quasi-experimental trial was conducted 40 who had pain due to in Sialkot medical complex hospital, Sialkot. The participants were divided into group (MET) and B (SCS). Group treated moist heat therapy, while therapy for two weeks. Numeric rating scale Modified Oswestry Disability Questionnaire used. Data analyzed SPSS 21. Results: mean score Index (ODI) 53.10±7.35 56.60 ± 7.89 at start treatment (SCS), respectively. final ODI (SCS) 22.25± 5.87 37.70± 7.87, value intensity Numerical Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) 7.30±1.25 vs. 7.85±1.26 post-treatment NPRS 3.20 ±1.16 4.55±1.20 Conclusion: According findings this study, both METS SCS significantly improved functional disability caused by lumborum. However, terms difference, are more effective than SCS. Keywords: Strain strain, METS, Trigger points, Quadratus lumborum, Low

Comparison of Positional Release Technique with and without strain-counter strain technique on the pain, neck range of motion in men with active trigger points in upper trapezius muscle
Aims and background: Trigger points are sensitive points in the skeletal muscle and neck muscles that cause referral pain, decrease the range of motion and muscle soreness. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the effect of the Positional Release Technique with and without strain-counter strain technique on the pain, neck range of motion in men with active trigger points in uppe...

Introduction: Chronic low back pain is one of the major musculoskeletal problems. The presence of trigger points in the gluteus maximus muscle is a factor in increasing back pain. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of electro acupuncture on pain, functional disability and ultrasonographic changes of gluteus maximus muscle in patients with nonspecific chronic low back pain with tri...
متن کاملA New Technique based on Strain Energy for Correction of Stress-strain Curve
Tensile stress-strain curve is of high importance in mechanics of materials particularly in numerical simulations of material deformations. The curve is usually obtained by experiment but is limited by necking phenomenon. Engineering stress-strain curve is converted to true stress-strain curve through simple formulas. The conversion, however, is correct up the point of necking. From this point ...

As noted in the introduction to the " Trigger Points " column in the June issue of the IJTMB Practice and Education Section Editors put out a call for discussion on the treatment of and education about a topical subject in therapeutic massage and bodywork. (1) The current topic is Hypertonicity of the Quadratus Lumborum. Is this something you treat regularly? Struggle with? Teach treatment abou...
متن کاملChanges in masseter muscle trigger points following strain-counterstrain or neuro-muscular technique.
The aim of this study was to compare the immediate effects, on pressure pain sensitivity and active mouth opening, following the application of neuromuscular or strain/counter-strain technique in latent myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) in the masseter muscle. Seventy-one subjects, 34 men and 37 women, aged 20-65 years old, participated in this study. Subjects underwent a screening process to e...
